MAA is Excited to Announce an Upcoming Workshop
Business of Art 2.0:
Scaling Your Creative Career
with Jennifer Kahn Barlow
January 11, 2026
2pm - 5pm
At Oasis Learning Center & Gallery
Member registration opens on December 13, 2025.

This 3-hour workshop is for artists who already have a website, have sold some work, and are ready to feel more confident and organized in the business side of their art practice. Together, we’ll simplify the systems, structure, and mindset that make your art business run smoothly—so you can grow without burning out. You’ll learn how to create a realistic financial plan (nothing scary, promise!), pinpoint which revenue streams actually make you money, price your work with clarity, and build easy bookkeeping habits that keep tax season stress-free.
We’ll also talk about applying to shows and opportunities more strategically—choosing the ones that truly move your career forward. We’ll walk through a simple, connection-focused sales approach and share follow-up strategies that help turn casual admirers into loyal collectors.
To wrap up, we’ll explore thoughtful product development—what to offer, what to skip, and how to expand your brand without losing quality or your sanity. You’ll leave with a personalized 6-month growth plan that includes clear visibility goals, seasonal launch ideas, and easy marketing rhythms to keep you focused and in control.
