Plein Air: Summertime at Brookside Gardens!

We will be painting on the grounds of beautiful Brookside Gardens, Montgomery County's award-winning 50-acre public display garden, on Saturday, August 1, from 9 am until noon. You will see Japanese-inspired Gude Garden with a teahouse, other gardens including an Aquatic Garden, lush greenery and blooming crape myrtles, as well as hydrangeas, butterfly bushes, and more! Art in photo below: Baltimore Oriole by Melissa Ou.

Location: Brookside Gardens, 1800 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton, Maryland

We will meet in front of the Brookside Gardens Visitor Center at 9 am on Saturday, August 1.

Cost: Free

What to expect: After checking in, we will paint at our chosen spots on the Brookside Gardens grounds until 11:30 am. After painting, we will gather for an informal critique and group photograph in front of the Visitor Center.  We will plan to complete our activities by noon. Restrooms are located in the Visitor Center.

After painting, you might consider visiting The Butterfly Experience at Brookside Gardens. If you are interested, tickets are limited and you need to purchase them on-line in advance.
