Our December speaker is Martina Sestakova who will give a talk titled, “The Importance of Stories in Creative Endeavors.” Martina is a textile designer and abstract watercolorist whose work has been featured at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC.

As owner of RADOST, Martina uses original painting and photography to design scarves that tell stories of life experiences. In her abstract paintings, Martina explores the role of words (e.g., poetry) in our lives and translates them into visuals through colors, shapes, and movement.

Martina will share thoughts on her creative process and what has worked for her in the promotion of her designs and artworks (e.g., how to build a strong story around art and how to engage clients).
