Addendum notes on the Brookside show:
The Brookside rules stipulate that "No contact information --- ". They will however allow a simple label for each painting listing the artist's name, title of the work, and price. Vicki Surles will prepare those labels for works submitted. Vicki will also prepare a more detailed list for Brookside for their records and for MAA .
Artists can submit applications either by mail OR by email. In either case, they should include all information requested on the printed application. Work must be delivered to Brookside on Saturday, Oct. 31 between 9:00 and 9:30. The previous show will be coming down at that time and we have to be finished hanging our show by noon. Brookside has afternoon programs and we need to be finished and out of the area by noon so we won't dis turb any scheduled activities.

Labor Day Weekend
Paint the Town Art Show 2009 Review

Congratulations to everyone who entered the Labor Day Show! This was the largest Kensington show that we have presented . It represented 67 artists and 270 artworks. Many thanks go to Chair Debbie Halprin and all our hardworking volunteers who made the show a resounding success.

We are grateful for the time and effort the main judge Michael Sastre and judging assistant Julie O’Malley gave to us. We also greatfully acknowledge the judges from Plaza Art. A huge thank you is certainly due to the support=2 0of all of our sponsors who made it possible to give such a wonderful range of prizes and awards. Please patronize our sponsor establishments. A complete list is in the brochure.,as well as above in Notes and News.

A special thanks to our Treasurer, Jacques Bodelle, for handling the rental of the credit card machine, training the volunteers who ran the machine, and disbursement of funds for this show. Everything went very smoothly and revenues were higher than last year and better than expected. Mutitalented Jacques takes care of all of us behind the scenes collecting monies, recordkeeping, tax filings, maintaining the finances and the banking relationship for MAA.
