A note from Sara Becker, our Vice President for Programs
I hope everyone enjoyed the presentation from Ann Wiker of Art Exposure Inc., http://www.artexposureinc.c om as much as I did. Ann provided a lot of useful and interesting inf ormation about how best present yourself professionally as an artist interested in marketing your work. She talked about artist statements, bio’s, determining your goals and targeting your prospective buyers. Among the topics Wiker discussed were marketing, how to determine fair market prices for your artworks, and the importance of and how to obtain copyrights. We had more questions than she had time to respond to, so maybe we’ll have her back to talk on another related subject. Ann was referred to us by one of our members If any of you have other ideas of presenters or topics of interest, be sure to let me know. I want to be sure that our programs are reflecting member's interests. !
